Welcome to Oak Knoll Animal Hospital

Oak Knoll Animal Hospital has been a St. Louis Park landmark for more than 30 years. One thing that has remained constant during that time is the overwhelming spirit of compassionate care that's a part of everything we do.

The medical staff at Oak Knoll is trained to practice the most current treatments available in veterinary medicine today. And they do it all with the same level of care that Oak Knoll Animal Hospital has always been known for.

From routine wellness exams to complex laser surgery, Oak Knoll Animal Hospital is still St. Louis Park's best choice for state of the art medical care combined with friendly, compassionate service.

We look forward to proving that to you!

Canine Influenza Virus/Dog Flu

Canine Influenza

Oak Knoll now carries the H3N2-H3N8 combination Canine Influenza vaccine.  There has been one confirmed case of H3N2, so far this year, in Minnesota.  According to the American Medical Association, there have been confirmed cases of H3N2 in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana, and Illinois.  If you are traveling with your dog out of state, or if your dog is exposed to other dogs, especially through boarding or daycare, please contact one of our veterinarians to determine whether this vaccine is indicated.  As always, if you have questions about this vaccine, or if you have other concerns, please consult one of our veterinarians.

Outdoor Cats

As the weather has warmed up and we’ve opened our windows, you may have noticed your cats showing more interest in the great outdoors. While many cats are content to relax in front of a sunny window and watch birds, some cats demand to be let out to explore. While we do recommend that you keep your cats indoors, we do recognize that there are some cats that are not going to tolerate an indoor-only lifestyle. If you have one of these cats, here are some extra precautions should be taken to keep them as safe as possible.
